It is twilight

It is twilight
The city is lit up; but not my home.
I am sitting under a candle, yet in darkness.
The candle light only illuminates the darkness around me.
And the lights outside, are trying to subjugate me.

I hold a cup of tea for a long while,
(That is not made for me.
It is only ‘almed’ to me)
And then I have a snack,
But I am disinterested.
For the light that dances before me
Is like a prostitute working for money.
It doesnot illuminate my insides,
It only makes the darkness visible
And, yet, it can not be seen on the outside.

And that is what my problem is.
I am pining for my beloved,
And they think I have become insane,
Just as I was,
Before meeting him….

Any date, any day, any month, any year

Smoke shoots from the factories,
From the trash,
From the grass.
A dim sunlight unveils itself
At the planned hour, reluctantly.
Ants crawl out of their forts
To earn material ends.
One looks like the other,
The other like another.
Each one crawling in and out
And up and down
And back and forth,
Like a corpse.
They settle before machines,
To work like machines,
To undo the feat of their forerunners.
Not realizing,
When it is day
And when it is not.
When the clock summons
The planned hour,
They go back to their ant-hills,
Tired, melancholic, sleepy.
They crawl into their beds,
And die for a few hours.
And the world dies with them.

The next morning comes,
Awakens them at the planned hour,
To pull the same burden for the next day.

Hail!

Hail! Sweet zephyrs, fan my beloved,
Let her sleep like the mistress of the universe.
Hail! Sensous west wind, caress her tresses.
Let her experience the warmth of my touches.
Hail1 soft rabbits, cast off your skins,
Lend me your soft covers
To bed my darling princess.
Hail! Scarlet roses, jump into her cheeks,
Let her blush amidst her sleep
To set the universe on fire.
Hail! Sweet angels, transform me
Into a handsome beaux,
Let me peep into her dreams
And see her smile and glow.
Hail! Fays, fairies, guard our moments of rapture,
Guard us against wicked coughs,
And guard us till eternity.

Make Me not your Muse

Make me not your Muse

Make me not your Muse,
Who stands like a portrait in your poems,
Lifeless and public.
Make me the energy of your poem.
Let me flow through your thoughts.
Let me be omnipresent in your works,
Something that can’t be seen,
But is there.
Let me breathe through your creativity,
Something that is continous;
A constant process which when stops
Takes life out of a thing.
Dont make me your pen;
Let me be the ink that writes,
The one that leaves a footprint,
That fills in an urge to be traced.

Immortalize this tiny sprite
As a bliss for
Loving you honestly…

Wake Up...

Wake up…

Wake up at a rainy morning,
The world awaits you.
An earthly lover lurking inside your heart
Wishes to kiss you.
Open your eyes at this lush greenery,
And shiver at these happy zephyrs.
Uncoil yourself out of your cozy bed,
And get ready for a happy day.

Put your hand out of the window,
And hold these aqueous pearls,
Gulp them across your throat,
And efflower like a rose.

Come out under the same rains,
And enjoy the same sky as the lover,
Enjoy the same parrots hovering above,
And the same crows and quills.
Share the same mountains across,
And share the same hills.

Find, thus, nature in your
Concrete apartment,
Find some more love in your
Concrete attachment.
Blink your eyes and destiny
Will blow a spell,
And you will reach paradise,
And find no way to hell.

Come into her life!

Come into her life!

Come into her life, dear.
Come into her life.
Your mistress wants to melt in your arms.
Your mistress wants to brood over trivial issues.
Sob over the bitchy conversations of the maids
That she has overheard.
She wants to show to the world
The persona that she celebrates
Through her poems.
She wants to bask in the glory of her choice.

Come into her life, dear.
Come into her life.
Your mistress is waiting for you.
Take her with you,
Not to Utopia,
But the real, bad world;
So that she doesnot become Chinese crockery.
Love her as much as you can,
Till fate coughs a curse,
In the middle of things.
Leave her, unwillingly, among cries
So that she loves you,
Although she wants to hate you;
So that she refuses the desire
To assimilate her self into you.
And sketches her pain
Through her poems,
And basks in the glory of her creativity.

Do come into her life, dear.
Do come into her life.
She needs you to reach destinations.
Come amidst sorrow;
When she needs you the most,
So that your value in her life is retained;
So that she sinks in your arms as soon as she sees you;
So that she enjoys each and every moment
That she has pined for, all this while.

Come into her life, dear.
Come into her life.
Your mistress is waiting for you.
Come soon, come soon,
So that she immortalizes you and your love;
And gifts you with moments of eternity.

I love thee…

Thou holdeth those eyes,
That holdeth lot of mercy.
A whore finds dignity,
A peasant gets sympathy.

Thou holdeth such eyes,
That holdeth pious horizons.
No drowning, no sinking,
There’s only solitude.

I holdeth searching eyes,
That pine for honesty,
That craves for a knot of love and passion,
I find it in eyes like thine.

Thou tell me I embarrass thee,
By looking in those humanly eyes,
Thy greatness lies in thy humility,
That is why, I love thee!
